The Viana Market platform was distinguished with the trophy for Best Digital Evolution Project in Proximity Commerce, awarded by ACEPI – Digital Economy Portugal, within the scope of the Navegantes XXI Awards. The event took place in Lisbon during the Portugal Digital Week, and aims to highlight the contributions of companies to the country’s Digital Economy.
The Viana do Castelo City Council, together with the Viana do Castelo Business Association (AEVC), promoted this project that aims to bring the city’s local commerce into an online space common to all traders.
The challenge was posed to the Viana consortium that developed the entire project: Blisq Creative, Atlanse and Untile. Thus, Viana Market was born, an electronic platform that allows physical stores to sell their products on the digital market and Viana do Castelo commerce to maintain an online presence and reach worldwide.
The project, launched in the midst of the pandemic, was a success and, within a year, it brought together a hundred registered entrepreneurs and thousands of products available, ensuring the marketing, collection and shipping of products from Viana do Castelo to the world.
Congratulations to all involved.
