Christmas solidarity at Blisq

At Blisq, December is a time of joy and fraternization, but also of union and sharing.

The fight against hunger is a reality that has grown with the pandemic and is accentuated at Christmas. Since it is a time for family reunion and celebration, we believe that we can contribute so that everyone has a place at the table and a full meal.

Powered by the DNA of its team, Blisq did not want to let this season pass without contributing to a fairer and happier Christmas by taking on the creation of some solidarity actions.

“Together at the table” was one of the messages created as a way to sensitize the community to care for the most vulnerable families, who are also entitled to celebrate this special day. To feed this cause, the agency launched an invitation through its communication channels for a food donation in its space.

This action resulted in a huge basket, with more than 100kg of food collected, which was donated to Refood of Viana do Castelo, an association that plays a relevant role in society by redirecting meals to those who need it most and whose mission is to feed people and include the entire local community in a 100% solidary way.

Blisq wanted to be part of this movement that transforms the lives of all who get involved with this cause and give their contribution to the creation of a more just and solidary society, counting for this with the support of their families, friends and partners.

Besides the delivery of food items, a collection of toys was also made in collaboration with the Municipality of Viana do Castelo, as part of the campaign “Viana + Present”, in order to make the Christmas of many children a happier day.

In the end, we are a team made of people for people and the rewarding feeling of mutual help and solidarity reinforces the goal of feeling closer to our community, as well as making the team happier and united for a cause that is common to all.
